The Scarborough Flyer on the Calder Valley 2012
The Scarborough Flyer steam hauled excursions from Crewe were this year diverted via the Calder Valley route, picking up at Rochdale and Brighouse. This change of routing, due to the extensive track remodelling at Stalybridge, proved very popular with travellers from the area. It also gave photographers an opportunity to record the Duchess Of Sutherland and The Union Of South Africa at speed through some of the best scenery in the country. This selection of every run was submitted by a STORM member.
