Found!Lancashire and Yorkshire crest Sept 2017
Phil Mills asked some time ago what happened to the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway crest which once adorned the railway bridge over Yorkshire Street.
They are now preserved in the Bury Transport Museum adjacent to the East Lancashire Railway's Bolton Street station.
"There were four cast iron replicas of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway coat of arms on the old railway bridge over Yorkshire Street, Rochdale. The bridge was demolished some time in the 1970s and one of the coat of arms was preserved by Rochdale Council and restored by Philip Mills.
Where is it now? Does anyone know?"
